Three Honda models headed their respective categories in Consumer Reports’ 2013 Top Pick List. The Accord, CR-V and Odyssey made the list, which highlights the best all-around models in their categories from more than 280 vehicles tested. According to the magazine, “Top Pick models must meet Consumer Reports’ stringent criteria in three areas: road test, reliability, and safety.”
The all-new redesigned 2013 Accord was named Best Midsized Sedan, thanks to a slew of class-leading standard features and technologies. The Odyssey took the top spot in the Minivan category thanks to improved reliability. Finally, the CR-V took top honors in the Small SUV category for being “super practical and reliable.”
Consumer Reports conducts more than 50 individual tests on every vehicle, including evaluations of braking, handling, comfort, convenience, safety and fuel economy. The vehicles go through approximately 6,000 miles of general driving and evaluations made during the testing process. Consumer Reports also buys its test cars anonymously from dealerships.
