Then there is Road Departure Mitigation, which, if the vehicle drifts too close to the side of the detected roadway while going at a speed between 45 MPH and 90 MPH, it alerts the driver with rapid vibration on the steering wheel, and can even intervene to keep the vehicle in the lane. Adaptive Cruise Control takes things to a whole new level. This system enables drivers to maintain a steady pace, so that they don’t need to change speed manually while driving. Finally, Forward Collision Warning, uses a small camera mounted at the top and front windshield and monitors your distance from the vehicle in front of you, and alerts you when it senses danger. If no action is taken, it will automatically apply brake pressure.
